EchoWave is the brainchild of Gold Coast multi-instrumentalist Sam Croaker who since 2018 has amassed a strong, diverse collection of songs, diving into the beauty of life and dreams, people and places, all set to a colourful backdrop of heavily melodic, hook-laden pop rock.
The outift's psychedelic 2023 effort 'Makeup!' saw an evolution in Sam's writing as the songs convey much more internal and personal themes through abstract lyricism as well as the incorporation of new wave and funk elements, putting a modern and contemporary spin on EchoWave's raw and nostalgic sound.
