Euca
EUCA is a pop-rock singer/songwriter from Gold Coast, Queensland. First and foremost a lyricist, her story-telling highlights her deep-rooted folk influences in an otherwise pop-rock parcel. Drawing upon the likes of Middle Kids, Phantastic Ferniture, Rex Orange County, Ball Park Music and Missy Higgins, this little chick is all about the sweet-spot between heavenly melodies, brawny riffs and take-no-shit emotional integrity.
Who knew a quarter-life crisis could be so invigorating? The worst year of her life slapped EUCA in the face, had her reevaluate her passions, and throw herself into the deep end. Thrilled with the love for her debut single ‘NOT CHAMPAGNE’, EUCA was beyond keen to drop the follow up track (and her personal favourite off of her upcoming EP) ‘I HATE THE WAY’.
Now we’re into the cooler months of 2021, EUCA shares her third track ‘SPITE’. Differing from the themes of heartbreak axiomatic in her two prior tracks, ‘SPITE’ is about herself; her yearning to be someone bigger and better; her spiteful motivations and proud bitterness. This year will welcome EUCA’s debut EP, filled with songs that are already crowd-favourites at her gigs across Queensland. Her and the band cannot wait to make their way to the rest of AUS.
